Please note, this blog does not reflect the PointsPlus plan. I'm sticking with an earlier version of the plan because it has worked so beautifully for me over the years. Good luck with your journey, no matter what plan you follow!

Weekly dinner menu at our house

Though I've been posting my weekly dinner menu here on the blog for several years now, I didn't much this summer.   Not because I didn't have one to post, but I simply didn't have time to share it here on the blog with the kids being out of school, moving, transitioning into a new town, etc.  Funny how children & family obligations require 124% of my attention and time! Anyway, school is back in session, which means I can start posting my odd ball plans again.

Please keep in mind, I only post my weekly menu to encourage you to plan ahead.  Planning ahead helps me stay on track.  I don't post recipes for what I'm cooking during the week.  I don't have that kind of time.  However, I do list the books used to harvest the recipes I'm using for the week (as long as the recipe is not something I'm whipping together from scratch).  For instance, "BLFC" stands for Biggest Loser Family Cookbook.  "CC" means Comfort Classics by Weight Watchers.  It's all listed on the menu.  I make a note of the page number of each dish.  It saves me time in the long run.  I hate wasting time, searching through book after book, trying to find what I'm supposed to cook that evening.

Plan ahead.  It will help you be (and stay) successful.  If I know what I'm having for dinner, I can plan the rest of my day rather easily.  The weekly menu leads to my daily plan.  The plan is like a little road map of sorts.  It gets me from Point A to Point B.....while staying within (or at least close to) my daily Point range.    :)

{Side Note: Some of the books I use are really old publications that I dearly love! Look for them on ebay...that's what I do.}

I have a "go to" list in my computer recipe file with my favorite WW friendly recipes. I use the same sort of system to key the book & page number. I think I own every WW cookbook published since the mid 70s. This'll be fun!

LOVE this blog! I started WW (again) this week... going to loose 80 pounds... first goal is 60 by June 25 2011. Looking at your before picture was a serious wake up call... I am built exactly like you and gained all my weight in the exact area you did... thin legs, huge abdomen. Seeing your AFTER picture gives me so so so so much hope that this belly can be defeated. Will check back often, you have GREAT stuff on here, thank you for the bottom of my ( slightly enlarged) heart!
