I got a free bottle of Louisiana Gold hot sauce in the mail yesterday! I loooove spicy food. It's an illness. I cannot help it. We must have at least 7 bottles of hot sauces in the fridge at the moment (not including taco sauce & various salsas). Again, it's an illness. It's low calorie, spicy, adds flavor to lower fat foods, makes me sweat, adds emotion to stuff that would typically be bland, and according to my 78 year old father who has consumed his fair share of hot sauce over the years, "grows hair on your chest". What's not to love?
Do you have any idea how strange it was to open the envelope to find a bottle of hot sauce inside? #1...I had no idea you could mail a bottle of sauce in an envelope. #2...I was amazed the bottle was still intact. #3....It's really good sauce & I'm thankful I received it. #4...I could not for the life of me figure out why someone would mail it to me. #5....I suddenly remembered signing up for a "get a free bottle of hot sauce" thing on Facebook if the Saints won the Super Bowl. #6...Who knew offers on Facebook are for real?
MIND DRIFTING THOUGH OF THE MOMENT: There's a store here in Cincinnati called Jungle Jims. They have more hot sauces & salsas than ANY place I've ever been. I mean it. They present them in alphabetical order. They even refer to it on the site as "Hot Sauce Heaven", and it just happens I support that claim 100%. If you're in the area, hot sauce fan or not, be sure to check out Jungle Jims. It's outrageous!
Any fellow hot sauce fans out there? If so, what's your favorite kind? I'm always on the hunt for something new.

Don't get me started on my fridge and hot sauce! Lol! I'll take a picture when I get home. We probably have a good 30+ bottles in there. Chris has a big obsession with the ghost chili pepper. So he's been eating Sweet Bhutty ( I think that's the name of it).
I LOVE hot sauces & hot peppers & all that spicy stuff. My favorite hot sauce would have to be Dave's Hot Sauce..it's a local thing I think! Yum!
In the words of the dear old lady in the Franks Red Hot commercial, "I put that s*** on everything!" I freak people out with my ability to eat hot food. Large grown men sweat, cry, and throw in the towel and I'm still pluggin' away. I have loved it since the day my dad gave me a taste of hot sauce at age 3!
